Mission Statement

Monmouth Youth Communication Club  (MY-CC / MYCC) is a 501(c)(3) organization which focuses on helping students K-12 improve the foundational skill of public speaking. Members take part in interactive activities which apply communication in real-world contexts, and are encouraged to propose and facilitate their activities, creating a training ground for leadership and peer-to-peer communication, advised by local mentors in a variety of disciplines from scientific research to journalism.

Welcome New Members!

MYCC’s on-site activities primarily serve Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, and Mercer Counties in New Jersey. In 2025, approximately 20 new students ages 10 to 17 joined our programs.

Meet the President

Hello! I’m Kelly, President of the Monmouth Youth Communication Club. Thank you for visiting.

MYCC has been part of my life since second grade. Back then, I was one of the students who needed a little extra encouragement. Now, nine years later, I’m leading the organization that helped me discover what I could become.

We’re a student-led, peer-support nonprofit serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Many of us start as members who receive support, then grow into leaders who give it back. It’s a cycle that strengthens everyone involved.

As I moved into high school, I had the chance to help create new activities and connect students with each other. These experiences taught me how much we’re capable of when we have the space to try.

MYCC isn’t just about programs—it’s about possibility. You can join existing activities or create something entirely your own.

If you’re curious about getting involved, reach out to any student leader or start with me. Your MYCC journey can begin just like mine did.
